We have fishing rights on sections of

Length 1 – Cottingley Beck to Seven Arches aqueduct

Right Bank – details

This fishery commences at the beck, Bingley side of the Bankfield Hotel and follows the river downstream to the Seven Arches bridge. At river level the beck is about 15 metres upstream of the bypass road bridge over the river

Entry Points:

Entry is from the A650 Saltaire-Bingley Road, turn right down Branksome Drive. Follow this road round taking the first right. Parking is on the roadside. Follow the footpath past the stables to the river. Please do not obstruct Driveways.

Length 2 – Seven Arches aqueduct to Hirst Wood weir

Right Bank

This is a continuation of the first length but is now from both banks. The left bank extends to the very top of the weir and the right bank is to the top of Hirst Mill field (Glynn Thomas). Do not trespass over the wire fence.

Entry Points:

Parking by the Bradford Amateur Rowing Club, travel along Coach Road to the end, when it turns to a track, turn left and follow this track to the rivers edge. Parking near the Boatsheds. Do not obstruct the boatsheds.
Park at Hirst Wood Car Park and walk up the canal towpath, then descend through the trees to the river.

Length 3 – Hirst Wood weir to Salts Mill weir

Both banks (except Roberts Park, left bank)

Left Bank

This is a continuation of  the Hirst Wood length and extends to the top of the Cricket pitch in Roberts Park. The cricket pitch length is controlled by Bradford No1 A.A.

Bradford No1′s limits are marked at the upstream end by the wall at the top of the cricket pitch behind the scoreboard and a sign almost completely overgrown by the tree it is mounted on, about ten yards downstream of the footbridge, nearly at the top of the weir. Right Bank

Commences below Hirst Wood Mills and runs downstream to the top of Salts Mill.

Entry Points:

Left Bank

This can be done by walking from either the Coach road or the gates at Roberts Park.
Crossing the river from the right bank by using the footbridge at the top of the length.

Right Bank

Parking behind the peg on the road through Salts Club at the bottom of Victoria Road.

Length 4 – Salts Mill weir to Baildon Bridge

Both banks

Right Bank

Fishing is from the bottom of Salts Mill as there is no fishing from behind the mill.

Left Bank

Fishing from the bottom of the weir right through to Baildon Bridge.

Entry Points:

Left Bank

Park on Victoria Road (Saltaire)) and walk between the mills to steps leading to the river.
Park on Ives Street in Shipley closs to the river. Ives Street is situated opposite JCT600 on Old Mill Road.

Right Bank

All access is from the Coach Road, with car parks behind the Cup and Ring pub, and at Baildon Recreation Centre. Parking on grasss at own risk.
