NOTE on COPYRIGHT

Some of these books are still in copyright even though they were scanned in the US and their metadata may, incorrectly, state they are out of copyright and subject to US region copyright law. A libraries exemption clause may apply to the Internet Archive and the American libraries, but not to you, if you then infringe the original authors copyright. If the original was published in the UK they are subject to EU|UK region copyright law and are thus still in copyright until the end of the calendar year 70 years after the death of the final surviving author. e.g. books by George Edward Mackenzie Skues remain in copyright until end 2019, since he died in 1949. Brook and River Trouting – Edmonds & Lee remains in copyright until end 2021 since Norman Nellis Lee died 1951, later than Harfield H Edmonds

Press F11 on your keyboard to read it full screen, press F11 again to go back to normal

If the link takes you to the download page you can download it as a PDF or click the FLIP BOOK and read it on line

A lot of these books cover coarse fishing methods too. Clicking on the title (centre top of  FLIP BOOK) will take you to a page with details of the other formats and options, downloadable? often versions for EPub, Kindle, DJVU, etc. are available

These are mainly hosted at the Internet Archivewww.archive.org and are out of copyright ((i.e. 70 years after death of author))

Sources are mainly U.S. Public|University  libraries including the Library of Congress, which performs a function similar to the British Library, .i.e. copies of most|all published books are deposited. Available books have been digitised by the Internet Archive (which is sponsored by various companies including Microsoft) or the Google books project.

Many of these books were originally published in short runs e.g. 200 copies, many have been published in several editions either in the 19th century or even facsimile editions in the 20th or 21st century and so may be available in hardcopy, some in auctions at multi-hundred pound prices, facsimile editions at reasonable book prices, some even as print-on-demand paperbacks
